Agastache POQUITO® Collection

TERRA NOVA® Nurseries has a name in the Horticulture industry for breeding improvements into ornamental crops and the new POQUITO® Collection of Agastache will add to that list. The POQUITO® Collection started as a request from another large breeder of annual and perennials to make our well known KUDOS™ Collection of Agastaches even shorter. It took a number of generations to get the proportions right but we did it!

This year, Butter Yellow, Lavender, and Orange will join our POQUITO® ‘Dark Blue’ to make an incredible collection of easy to grow, blooming machine. Butterflies, bees and hummingbirds go nuts over these plants! Both flowers and the foliage are fragrant – alive with Mint, Licorice and Bergamot. Being descendants of the KUDOS™ Collection, the POQUITOS™ will find their way into the containers and borders of a lot of America’s gardeners.

Agastaches are amongst the easiest to grow perennials. They thrive in the sun with moderately fertile soil that has good winter drainage. The POQUITOS™ can trace their heritage back to a little known Native American species native to Eastern Oregon and the Rockies. Many generations have come and gone since those original species crosses, but we carefully selected the characteristics that gave this series its natural hardiness and disease resistance.
